Moroccan Majlis Dubai: Adding Traditional Charm to My Home


 I wanted a traditional Arab seating area in my villa. I ordered a moroccan majlis dubai custom-made. The majlis consists of low seating arranged around the room: a long backrest (3m), L-shaped corner seats, and individual floor cushions. The upholstery is a rich red velvet with gold piping. The cushions are filled with high-density foam (firm but comfortable). My family now gathers in the majlis for coffee and conversation. For anyone wanting traditional Arab hospitality, a majlis is essential.

Majlis Layout and Dimensions

A majlis consists of: backrests (along walls), seat bases (50cm deep), and floor cushions (for extra seating). My moroccan majlis dubai room is 4m x 4m. The backrest runs along three walls (height 80cm). The seat base is 50cm deep, 50cm high. The layout creates a U-shaped seating area. For a small room (under 3m x 3m), a single-wall majlis may be better. For large rooms, full U-shape or even 4-wall layout is possible.

Upholstery Fabrics for Majlis

They are filled with high-density foam and covered in the same velvet. Floor cushions can be moved around the room as needed. For large gatherings, I bring them out. Maintenance of Majlis Seating

Majlis upholstery is often light-colored (dust shows). I vacuum my moroccan majlis dubai weekly. For cushions, I rotate them monthly (distribute wear). For spills, I blot immediately.
